about the project

renaissance is an art installation we are creating for cs267, a course at colby college. the audience will approach a blank canvas and a photo is taken of them. soon, we will have a GAN (generative adversarial network) create an original work of art, make it the background of the canvas, and then a neural style transfer will be conducted to "paint" the user into the work. right now, we have the neural style transfer running on the whole of the canvas.
